Lego Master

Garrett builds with legos constantly.  Here is his latest creation.  He was so proud of it, I just had to get him some publicity!  He thinks Lego might want to make a set out of it.

I've been playing around with Picasa for mac and created this beautiful piece of art :)  Just testing it all out.

 

Breckenridge

We spent last weekend with our friends in Breckenridge. It was a blast. We took the kids to see the snow sculptures, went sledding and Sonia and I spent some fun time at the pool with the kids while Jay and Darin went skiing.

Stop the negativity!

Garrett has been dreading going back to school. So finally the day came and he (we) dragged his weary self there. Well apparently they had a little writing assignment today about why they were excited to come back to school. Garrett told his teacher that he wished she wouldn't be so negative!!!

Back seat conversations

I love listening to the kids conversations in the car (much better than fighting in the car!). Last night we were headed out to eat and Garrett said, "Look at that planet in the sky. Do you think it is Pluto?" Gavin said, "No, it's probably Jupiter or Venus." Kierstin said, "It's really far away, probably by Yaya's house, right Gavin?" Gavin replied, "No, Kiki, it's much further away than that." Kiki, "Oh, it's probably by Nancy's, right?" Okay, so we need to work on distance a little!!
